The Pulp Adventure Romance Author plugin takes a finished outline from the Pulp Adventure Romance Outline Builder and writes the full manuscript, at novella, novel, or extended length, with the Adventure-Romance Interlock System (ARIS) enforced at every chapter.

What This Plugin Does

This plugin executes a 6-phase production pipeline that takes your finished outline and produces a publication-ready .docx, KDP metadata, and an ARIS chapter log. It asks you which LLM is doing the writing (Claude Opus, Sonnet, Haiku, GPT-4, Gemini, or other) and calibrates drafting strategy to that model’s strengths.

The Genre Problem

Pulp Adventure Romance needs two things to work: pulp’s set-piece cadence (chase, escape, ambush, reveal) and a structural romance arc with HEA or HFN. AI tends to write these as two parallel books that share characters but never causally entangle. The chase happens. The kiss happens. They take turns. ARIS prevents that failure mode by forcing causal crossover at every chapter.

1. Causal Crossover: Every action beat advances the romance; every romance beat raises adventure stakes.
2. Pulp Set-Piece Cadence: Chase, escape, reveal, ambush stacked at proper density. No quiet relationship chapters that abandon McGuffin pressure.
3. Vulnerability Under Threat: Intimate beats land under active threat, not in safe rooms with no clock.
4. McGuffin Gravity: The artifact, treasure, or secret remains the strongest gravitational force every chapter.
5. Banter-Action Equivalence: Both protagonists stay verbally alive even when physically cornered.
6. Dual-Currency Escalation: Every act raises both physical danger AND emotional cost.

LLM Selection

Choose your model up front:

• Claude Opus: Long-form coherence, voice maintenance, larger drafting chunks
• Claude Sonnet: Balanced quality and throughput, standard chunk size
• Claude Haiku: Fast throughput with heavier prompting and smaller chunks
• GPT-4 / GPT-4 Turbo: Strong dialogue and action, with model-specific cliché scrubbing
• Gemini: Worldbuilding texture and locale specificity, with pacing checks
• Other models: Sonnet calibration as baseline, plus model-specific Stage 1 scrubbing

The plugin adjusts prompting density, chunk sizing, and editorial intensity per model.

How It Works

1. Install the plugin via Claude Desktop’s plugin manager
2. Activate it in a new chat
3. Run the command /write-pulp-adventure-romance
4. Provide your finished outline from the Pulp Adventure Romance Outline Builder
5. Answer eight setup questions (LLM, era, heat level, POV, tense, tone, optional style sample, author name)
6. The plugin drafts chapter by chapter with ARIS applied to every chapter
7. 5-stage editorial pipeline runs after the draft
8. Final files delivered: manuscript .docx, KDP metadata .docx, ARIS log .docx

Length Tiers

• Novella: 25,000 to 40,000 words (12 to 20 chapters)
• Standard Novel: 60,000 to 80,000 words (22 to 32 chapters)
• Extended Novel: 90,000 to 120,000 words (32 to 45 chapters)

Heat Levels

• Sweet: Closed door, fade to black, emotional payoff carries the weight
• Steamy: Sensory immersion in intimacy without graphic specificity
• Spicy: Explicit on-page intimacy, always under active threat per ARIS Rule 3
