What This Plugin Does

Story Bible Generator builds, maintains, and audits a living reference document for your series. It tracks every character, location, world rule, timeline event, and significant object across all your books — and flags contradictions before your readers do.

Two Ways to Start

1. Build from Scratch: Planning a new series? Walk through an interactive world-building workflow that asks the right questions for your genre and produces a complete bible before you write a single word.
2. Extract from Your Books: Already have books published? Upload your manuscripts (.docx or .epub) and the plugin reads them, catalogs everything, and builds the bible automatically. You review and refine — it does the heavy lifting.

Track Changes Book by Book

After each new book, run the update command. The plugin reads your new manuscript, compares it against the existing bible, and applies inline markers showing exactly what changed:

• [ADDED: Book 3] tags on new characters, locations, and objects
• [CHANGED: Book 3] tags on modified relationships, abilities, or statuses
• A dedicated changelog section summarizing every addition and modification per book

Catch Inconsistencies Automatically

The consistency checker runs two levels of auditing:

• Bible-Internal: Flags contradictions within the bible itself — ages that don’t match timelines, characters in two places at once, world rules that conflict
• Cross-Reference: Compares the bible against your actual manuscript text — catches spelling variations, description mismatches, missing entries, and deprecated information

Issues are graded by severity (Critical, Warning, Note) so you fix what matters first.
