The Women’s Fiction Author is a Claude plugin that writes complete, publication-ready women’s fiction manuscripts from a finished outline. It applies a 5-rule guardrail system and 10 prose craft rules to every chapter — preventing AI’s #1 failure in women’s fiction: externalizing the transformation so the protagonist’s growth becomes a side effect of good luck instead of earned change.

The Genre Problem

When AI writes women’s fiction prose, two things collapse. First, the internal journey flatlines — characters announce their feelings in therapy-speak instead of revealing them through behavior, subtext, and domestic detail. Second, the prose defaults to generic AI voice — “a wave of emotion washed over her,” “she couldn’t help but smile,” “tears streamed down her face.” The result reads like AI wrote it because AI did, and it didn’t have guardrails forcing it to write like a human who understands how women actually process change.

The Internal Journey System

This plugin embeds a 5-rule guardrail applied after every single chapter — not a one-time check, but continuous enforcement against the specific way AI degrades women’s fiction:

1. Transformation Primacy: The protagonist’s internal shift must advance in every chapter. External events are catalysts, never solutions.
2. Agency Over Rescue: The protagonist resolves her own crisis. No white knights, no magical opportunities, no convenient fixes from the outside.
3. Emotional Specificity: Feelings are precise and layered, never generic. The plugin flags and rewrites every “wave of emotion” and “couldn’t help but feel.”
4. Life Stage Authenticity: The specific life transition must feel grounded in actual lived experience — the mundane details, the contradictions, the unglamorous reality.
5. Mirror Characters: Secondary characters reflect different versions of the protagonist’s possible futures, creating thematic depth without heavy-handed symbolism.

The 10 Prose Craft Rules

Beyond the guardrail system, every chapter is written against 10 genre-specific prose rules that prevent AI’s worst women’s fiction habits:

7. Domestic Details as Metaphor: The house, kitchen, garden, closet — physical spaces mirror internal states
8. The Unsaid: What characters don’t say matters more than what they do
9. AI Cliché Avoidance: Active detection and elimination of AI-isms specific to women’s fiction
10. The Quiet Climax: The biggest moment might be the smallest action

5. The plugin writes chapter-by-chapter, applying the Internal Journey System after each one
6. Full 5-stage editorial pipeline runs automatically after draft completion
7. Receive a publication-ready .docx manuscript plus KDP metadata document

Voice Matching

The very first setup question asks for a writing sample. If you have existing published work or a style you want matched, the plugin analyzes your voice — sentence length patterns, vocabulary level, emotional register, dialogue style — and writes the entire manuscript in that voice. The 10 prose craft rules still apply, but they operate within your voice, not over it.
