Description

Your Cozy Fantasy. Your World. Your Choices. One Complete Manuscript.

The Cozy Fantasy Author is an interactive AI skill for Claude Desktop that writes a complete, publish-ready cozy fantasy manuscript — but only after it asks you what you want.

LitRPG elements or pure cozy? Dungeon crawling or a quiet shop in a magical town? Crafting focus, monster taming, or exploration? Companion creature with opinions, or solo adventure? This skill starts with YOUR choices, then builds your book around them.

And the feature that makes this different: a built-in Progression Pacing System that solves the three biggest problems with AI-written cozy fantasy.

The Three Problems This Solves

Problem 1: Power Creep. AI wants to escalate. Your protagonist starts as a humble herbalist and by Chapter 8 they’re fighting a dark lord. The Progression Pacing System enforces a growth rate — beginner to developing to competent to skilled — so your character earns their abilities through on-page practice and failure, not overnight epiphanies.

Problem 2: Rushed Cozy Scenes. AI treats the tavern dinner, the morning at the shop, and the crafting session as filler to get through on the way to the “real” plot. But your readers came FOR those scenes. This skill enforces a 30% minimum cozy ratio and requires every downtime scene to carry full narrative weight.

Problem 3: Instant Found Family. AI wants the party to be best friends by Chapter 3. The Progression Pacing System tracks trust development — from strangers with friction, through shared experience and real disagreement, to earned loyalty that feels inevitable because the reader watched it form.

It Starts by Asking You

Ten interactive questions before any writing begins:

  1. Fantasy Subgenre — Pure cozy fantasy, cozy with LitRPG elements, slice-of-life fantasy, or cozy progression fantasy
  2. LitRPG Depth — Soft progression (growth through story), medium (occasional stat screens), or crunchy (full system notifications and skill trees)
  3. Dungeon Crawling — Central to the story, occasional dungeon arcs, or none (town/shop/farm focus)
  4. Core Activity — Dungeon delving, crafting/alchemy, shop-keeping, farming/gardening, cooking/tavern running, monster taming, exploration/cartography, or a mix
  5. Companion Creature — A familiar or bonded beast as a main character with personality and opinions, or no companion focus
  6. Romance — Sweet slow-burn thread woven through adventure, or found-family/friendship only
  7. Length — Novella (~20,000 words / 16 chapters) or full novel (~50,000 words / 30 chapters)
  8. Series Position — Standalone, first in a series, or continuing (with continuity from your previous books)
  9. Style Guide — Upload 1-2 previous manuscripts and the AI builds a custom voice profile matching YOUR writing style
  10. Outline — Upload your own or have one generated and approved before writing begins

The Progression Pacing System

Six enforceable rules that keep your cozy fantasy on track:

  • Growth Must Be Earned On-Page — Every new ability requires preceding scenes of practice and failure. No overnight mastery. If the protagonist brews a perfect potion in Chapter 10, the reader saw them burn three batches in Chapters 4-8.
  • Cozy Scenes ARE the Story — At least 30% of chapter time is daily-life content: shopping, cooking, tending the garden, upgrading the workshop. These scenes do plot work while delivering the comfort readers came for.
  • Found Family Builds Gradually — The party’s trust develops through shared experience across many chapters. Early friction, developing trust, real friendship, earned loyalty — not instant bonding.
  • Difficulty Matches Progression — Challenges scale to the protagonist’s actual skill level. No easy wins, no impossible leaps. Each dungeon or quest challenges them in new ways.
  • System Notifications Are Rare — If using LitRPG elements, stat screens appear only at genuine milestones (3-5 per novella). Growth is shown through what the character can DO, not what numbers say.
  • Crafting Scenes Have Structure — Every crafting/gathering scene has its own mini-arc: a goal, an obstacle, a process the reader can follow, and a result that matters.

The Style Guide Feature

Upload one or two of your previous books and the skill reads them cover to cover, extracting your voice, dialogue patterns, worldbuilding density, how you handle magic systems, your pacing between action and downtime, and how you write companion creatures. Every chapter is written against YOUR style, not generic AI output. The style guide saves as a separate file for reuse across future books.
