The Genre Problem

Mafia romance prose needs to do something most AI can’t: hold violence and tenderness in the same hand. The hero who broke someone’s hand last chapter cradles the love interest’s face this chapter. The love interest is attracted to the strength and terrified by what it does. This contrast must be maintained — not resolved by making the hero “safe.” The Organization Authenticity System prevents the sanitization.

4. The Impossibility of Getting Out: Felt from chapter 1. The resolution costs something. No clean exits, no “they just walked away.” The ending addresses the organization problem specifically.
5. Violence as Currency: Transactional, purposeful, with aftermath. The hero is not sanitized. The love interest’s exposure escalates. Violence reveals character.
